Tamar and Toni Braxton
The Braxton sisters, Tamar and Toni, were recently spotted together spending quality time in Los Angeles. Tamar will be back on television a few months from now on “The Real.” She will also be busy with the third season of Tamar & Vince. It is anticipated that both of these shows will be having its premiere in September. Tamar will be balancing her time between her career, motherhood and marriage.

According to Singersroom:
“In season three, Tamar works to expand beyond just being a successful recording artist, performer and mother. She is capitalizing on her hugely successful album drop by planning her first solo tour and working on a second album, while also beginning a new gig as a talk show co-host and trying to explore feature film work and developing a project for daytime TV.”
“In addition to following Tamar’s journey, the cameras will capture a communication struggle between her and her husband, Vince.”
“As Tamar’s empire expands, with Vince at the helm, they realize serious communication issues are threatening everything they’ve worked so hard for, both at home and professionally.’”
Will season three be more interesting?

Toni Braxton and Oprah
Back in 1998, Toni Braxton expressed that Oprah was being “mean” to her. Toni felt embarrassed after Oprah tackled her financial problems and at the same time inquire about her purchase of a Gucci flatware. Toni said:
“She was so frickin’ mean to me, I was in shock. I couldn’t believe it because I loved her so much…She pretty much reprimanded me.”
“She says to me, ‘I heard you have Gucci flatware. I’m Oprah Winfrey and even I don’t have Gucci flatware.’”
But now, there’s no more beef between Toni and Oprah since Toni will be having her OWN movie. The two made the announcement together during OWN Upfronts. This new movie will be entitled, “My Name is Love: The Darlene Love Story.” They announced:
Toni Braxton and Oprah
“Executive produced by Oprah Winfrey and Academy Award-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville (“Twenty Feet From Stardom”), “My Name is Love: The Darlene Love Story” features the story of one of the 1960’s iconic musical voices, Darlene Love. Love began cutting records for producer Phil Spector right out of high school, and went on to work with some of the greatest musical talents in history, including Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra and Bruce Springsteen. Whether it was the wild parties Tom Jones used to throw, how Elvis came on to her backstage at his 1968 comeback special, or her love affair with Bill Medley of The Righteous Brothers, Love holds nothing back as she recalls the exciting events that make up her life. This is the dishy and dramatic story of a woman who had it all, lost it all, but never, ever refused to give up. Love will also serve as an executive producer.”

Do you think there is a difference on the divorce between white couples and black couples? According to Toni Braxton there is. During her visit on Bethenny, she chats about divorce as well as her desire to retire. She also explained that she and her ex-husband Keri Lewis were having a peaceful divorce which Toni referred as “very Caucasian, very white.” She further added that when the couple hated each other after the divorce it is known as a black divorce.
Bethenny asked Toni about living in LA.
Toni said, “Yes, I am in LA and my ex-husband is there but we get along great. We are very Caucasian, very white about it.”
Bethenny asked if she is having a white divorce.
Toni Braxton On Bethenny
Toni said, “We are really. We did.”
Bethenny responded, “Really. Then I have a very black divorce, no?”
Toni said, “I got it…that means, I hate you Jodi, I hate you Jodi. That’s what it means to black people. (“Baby Boy” reference)”
What can you say about Toni’s white divorce?

When Toni Braxton was interviewed on Tom Joyner Morning Show about her new music, she said:
“I don’t know if I’m going to be doing anymore music, I’ve said that before in the past but I don’t know…I just don’t know. Maybe I’m mad at music. I don’t know what it is. I can’t, my heart’s not in it right now.”
This is not the first time that Toni announced her retirement from music. Toni Braxton, who is known for her hit song “Un-break My Heart”, also made the same announcement last 2008 after suffering from heart related problems. However, in 2010 she was back in the music scene again and released her sixth album under Atlantic records. Toni will concentrate on her two new projects which are her upcoming movie “Twist of Faith” and reality show “Braxton Family Values”.
Why is Toni Braxton quitting music this time? Some people are speculating maybe she is just giving more room to her sister Tamar.
As Tamar herself would say…
“number one on iTunes dot com!”
That’s exactly where the former solo singer – turned back-up singer to sister Toni – turned solo performer yet again…finds herself. She appeared on Wendy Williams’ talk show to perform the hit single ‘Love and War’ for the first time. With a slightly new look, a new weave/wig, and a newfound confidence and swagger to match, let’s hope that this Braxton finds herself on a successful path that does not end up with her being famous for filing for bankruptcy every five years! One thing is certain. She definitely won’t be playing second fiddle to sister Toni again. Toni doesn’t need that many background singers anyway!
