“It was really beautiful and really touching.  He said something—his voice almost cracked like he was crying. It was just beautiful, a husband speaking about his wife.”

Isn’t it a great party

 Steve Harvey and President Obama

There are some people who do not believe that dreams can come true but not for Steve Harvey because his dream of interviewing President Obama has finally came true.  Harvey, a popular talk show host, did not discuss more on political controversies but rather he sees to it that his interview with the president is done in a light mode.  They discussed about the family’s holiday plans, fatherhood and others.  According to Harvey:

“Sitting down with the President is something I’ve always dreamt of doing, and I am honored to have the opportunity.”

“I’m grateful to President Obama for welcoming me and I’m thrilled to share this experience with all my viewers.”

When he was interviewed with NBC News, he revealed:

“I’m just a little boy from Welch, West Virginia that’s talking to the President of the United States. The greatest moment in that interview for me was when he was talking about his grandmother, who he misses. She passed in her eighties and my mom passed in her eighties and I said to the President, ‘I heard a rumor that your grandmother and my mother have met and that they are on the front row watching us right now.’ That was a really cool moment between me and the President and it meant a lot to him too so I felt pretty good about that.”

“I’ve met him before but this interview is a little different, you know. I think I talked to him the way most people don’t talk to the President. I told him I wanted a man-on-man interview. I don’t care about the politics, it’s not important to me. Look, he’s a great guy. There is a section of people that don’t agree with what he does, and then there are those of us that get it so I don’t have to go into that again. I said, let’s talk about family, let’s talk about the wives, let’s talk about Christmas, let’s talk about those girls, we’ve got girls the same age, and how he felt about fatherhood. It was pretty good.”

Isn’t it a great experience?

It seems as if The Game’s body is becoming a collage of different faces.  Last night, the Game decided to include the face of Mandela on his collection of tattoos.  Aside from Mandela, the Game’s body already has tattoos of President Obama and Trayvon Martin.  After the rapper gets the tattoo, he quickly posted a photo of it on Instagram and posted:

“The finished “Nelson Mandela” lookin out of the prison bars by @NikkoHurtado done on my side. 7 hour sitting….”

“Few more hours to tie in the tats around it & we solid. #NelsonMandela #RIP #Legend #Leader #Freedom #Peace #Equality #Tattoos #SouthAfrica.”

The tattoo artist for his latest artwork was Nikko Hurtado who said:

“A good leader can engage in a debate frankly and thoroughly, knowing that at the end he and the other side must be closer, and thus emerge stronger. You don’t have that idea when you are arrogant, superficial, and uninformed.” #NelsonMandela Tattoo collector [The Game] In the arm pit area! Ouch.”

Isn’t it an artistic tribute to a great leader?

Nelson Mandela has passed away today after staying for three months in the hospital due to a lung infection.  The freedom fighter died at the age of 95.  The entire life of Mandela was devoted in fighting for the oppressed not only for the people in his nation but also for the people all over the world.  No one can ever match his powerful legacy.  In 1994, Nelson Mandela said:

“Death is something inevitable. When a man has done what he considers to be his duty to his people and his country, he can rest in peace. I believe I have made that effort and that is, therefore, why I will sleep for the eternity.”

Today, people from all over the world mourn over the death of Mandela including President Obama who released the following statement:

“At his trial in 1964, Nelson Mandela closed his statement from the dock saying, “I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die.”

“And Nelson Mandela lived for that ideal, and he made it real. He achieved more than could be expected of any man. Today, he has gone home. And we have lost one of the most influential, courageous, and profoundly good human beings that any of us will share time with on this Earth. He no longer belongs to us — he belongs to the ages.”

Here is one of Nelson Mandela’s best quotes:

“Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.”

May he rest in peace.

What can you say about Mandela’s incredible legacy?

He says, ‘I’d like to thank some of the filmmakers Justin Chadwick, Harvey Weinstein, like to thank Naomi Harris doing a great job. And this guy.’ He’s talking about me! I’m like nah, he’s not gonna snap on me. ‘This guy. When this guy came to the White House last time, the ladies couldn’t leave him alone. So ladies, I urge you, leave him alone. Let him watch the movie.’ Yo, it was so hilarious.”

Was he frightened about his recent asthma attack?  The actor said:

“It was the strangest thing to ever happen to me. Look you know my dad died about 8 or 9 weeks ago. My dad was no crier, no grieving kinda guy and I’ve kinda adopted that but I think what happened to me when I sat on the plane.I’ve got asthma…I was fine, I was fine all day. As soon as I sat on the plane I suddenly can’t [couldn't] breathe you know and I was like what is going on here…When asthma hits you it feels like your lungs..it feels like your in a bit of water and you’ve got this much air to breathe and it keeps creeping up…They took me off the plane..took me to the ambulance and I went to the hospital. Thankfully, I’m alright..”

Is he expecting a child?  He said:

“I, personally am not expecting a baby no. That would be physically impossible.”

Elba tried to make his romantic life private, he explained:

“I really try to avoid it. Its part and parcel of being in the public eye I guess people wanna know you’re stuff. For the most part, listen you know, nobody wanted to know anything about me when I was single. You get a girlfriend and everybody’s like “we wanna know, who is she?” Come on man give me a break. Really, I’m private I’d like to keep it that way.”

Is it true that Elba’s girlfriend is pregnant?

Recently, actress Stacey Dash attacked President Obama over several issues.  During her appearance on “Hannity with Sean Hannity”, Stacey revealed her thoughts about the lawsuit of the Obama Administration against the state of Louisiana with regards to the school voucher system.  She said:

“I’m saying, deny a child education because of the color of their skin? That’s absurd. You know, the natural evolution of a well-educated populous is integration. And this is not political, it’s not theoretical, it’s not even partisan.”

“It’s personal. You know, I was one of those children. I went to a failing school, and by the grace of God, my mother was able to put me into private school, and had she not, I would probably be in a gang or dead right now, because that was the road I was going down. So what they’re doing is immoral.”

According to Stacey, she chose to vote for President Obama due to his race.  She said:

“I didn’t know anything about [Obama] when I voted for him in 2008. My choice to do so was purely because he was black….Naively, I thought he would be the right person for the job but unfortunately it didn’t turn out that way. Obama had the opportunity to really unite this country in such a profound way, but instead he has done the opposite. We are so divided right now, everything has become about race, more than I’ve ever known in my lifetime.”

The court’s decision about the murder of Trayvon Martin has created a lot of criticisms.  Several celebrities have also expressed their sentiments.  And now, President Obama is speaking his thoughts about the death of Trayvon Martin.  He also revealed his thoughts about racial relationship in the United States.

Below is a portion of the president’s speech:

“The reason I actually wanted to come out today is not to take questions, but to speak to an issue that obviously has gotten a lot of attention over the course of the last week — the issue of the Trayvon Martin ruling. I gave a preliminary statement right after the ruling on Sunday. But watching the debate over the course of the last week, I thought it might be useful for me to expand on my thoughts a little bit.”

“First of all, I want to make sure that, once again, I send my thoughts and prayers, as well as Michelle’s, to the family of Trayvon Martin, and to remark on the incredible grace and dignity with which they’ve dealt with the entire situation. I can only imagine what they’re going through, and it’s remarkable how they’ve handled it.”

“The second thing I want to say is to reiterate what I said on Sunday, which is there’s going to be a lot of arguments about the legal issues in the case — I’ll let all the legal analysts and talking heads address those issues. The judge conducted the trial in a professional manner. The prosecution and the defense made their arguments. The juries were properly instructed that in a case such as this reasonable doubt was relevant, and they rendered a verdict. And once the jury has spoken, that’s how our system works. But I did want to just talk a little bit about context and how people have responded to it and how people are feeling.”

“You know, when Trayvon Martin was first shot I said that this could have been my son. Another way of saying that is Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago. And when you think about why, in the African American community at least, there’s a lot of pain around what happened here, I think it’s important to recognize that the African American community is looking at this issue through a set of experiences and a history that doesn’t go away.”

“There are very few African American men in this country who haven’t had the experience of being followed when they were shopping in a department store. That includes me. There are very few African American men who haven’t had the experience of walking across the street and hearing the locks click on the doors of cars. That happens to me — at least before I was a senator. There are very few African Americans who haven’t had the experience of getting on an elevator and a woman clutching her purse nervously and holding her breath until she had a chance to get off. That happens often.”

Jayz is recently featured in Time Magazine; he is one of the “100 Most Influential People In The World”.  The other influential people who are included in the list are President Obama, First Lady Michelle, LeBron James, his wife Beyonce and many more.

Jayz recently give up his Brooklyn Nets’ share because he wants to concentrate on his own sports management agency which is called Roc Nation Sports.  He revealed that he was forced to do this due to NBA rules, he released a statement saying:

“Being a member of the Nets organization surpassed some of my greatest ambitions. It was never about an investment; it was about the NETS and Brooklyn. My job as an owner is over but as a fan it has just begun. I’m a Brooklyn Net forever. It’s been an honor to work with Mikhail Prokhorov, Dmitry Razumov, Christophe Charlier, ONEXIM Sports and Entertainment, Brett Yormark and all the wonderful people involved in making the Nets first class. My sincerest thanks goes to Bruce Ratner, who first introduced the idea of moving the Nets to Brooklyn. A thank you and deepest appreciation goes to the fans. You are the lifeblood of any team.”

“The Nets have made their mark on the NBA and as they enter a new era, Roc Nation does as well; as we embark on Roc Nation Sports. Our newest endeavor is committed to building the brands of professional athletes as we have done for some of today’s top music artists. For Roc Nation Sports to function at its full potential, NBA rules stipulate that I relinquish my ownership in the Brooklyn Nets. It was a tough decision but as I stated earlier, it’s not about ownership. Congratulations to The Nets on a great season and making the playoffs! I will always be a Brooklyn Net.”

Way to go Jayz!

President Obama’s Limo broke down in Tel Aviv.  But he does not need Secret Service because what he needs is a towing service.  One of the durable limousines of the president was towed.  It was seen at the back of a trailer.  This heavily armored car which is known as “The Beast” is having some malfunction prior to the arrival of the president and needs to be towed.

According to the report from Israel, the driver of the limo might have pumped unleaded instead of diesel fuel, which is required by the limo.  But there is no confirmation from the Secret Service.

During international trips, it is an S.O.P. that the president should have a backup.  President Obama was spotted riding another vehicle today.  This is the president’s first visit to Israel.  He will be having meetings with Israeli and Palestinian leaders.  Aside from this, he will also visit the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem.

Happy trip Pres. Obama!
