“I know that if Philip were here, he would really think this was really cool and to have him in our movies was one of the coolest things in the world, he’s one of the actors I’ve looked up to my entire life, and we think about him every day on set, so wherever he is, this definitely goes out to him as well.”

Other big winners for the night include Jared Leto who won the Best On-Screen Transformation.  Jonah Hill took home the Best Comedic Performance award while Zac Efron won the Best Shirtless Performance.

Jennifer Lawrence Jennifer Lawrence

After Jennifer Lawrence’s fall during the 2013 Academy Awards, the actress is now afraid of falling down all over again.  Lawrence won the Best Actress award for the movie ‘Silver Linings Playbook’.  As she stepped on the stairs, the actress fell down.  Now most people are expecting her to fall down every time she attends a red carpet.  She said:

“My mom taught me to laugh at myself. What else can I do? There are so many things that I do and say which come out wrong because I don’t think before speaking. I make a fool of myself easier than anyone I know. But that’s part of the way I was allowed to be when growing up. I get so nervous before going down red carpets — particularly after that fall at the Oscars.”

“I’ve tripped at least a couple of other times, too. I managed to forget to thank both the director and producer when I went on stage, so I wonder what was worse? I had to walk down the stairs at the wedding of my older brother recently and thought, ‘I cannot fall again. I just can’t.”

The 23-year-old actress explained that she admired her role in the movie ‘The Hunger Games’ since it is a great inspiration to the women out there that they should be healthy and fit instead of aspiring to become skinny.  Lawrence said:

“A lot of people have picked up on the fact that I don’t diet and that it’s better to be happy and healthy. That, again, is the way I was brought up. My mom never once said, ‘I think you should lose weight.’ I have had that said to me in Hollywood and I just ignore it.”

“There are too many fashion police out there judging us all on looks and weight. One of the many things I love about my character, Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games is that although she is fit and strong, she’s never thin.”

“She’s a great role model for girls in that she is tough and determined, yet also shows kindness and love.”

Are you inspired by her role in “The Hunger Games”?

The co-stars of the movie ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ have discovered love once again while shooting the movie in Montreal.  According to sources, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult have started dating after they became inseparable while shooting for the new sequel.

After dating for two years, the couple had broken up last January and now they are back together again.  The source said, “They started the shoot in April as friends, and then one day they just started kissing.  One thing led to another and they hooked up. All her old feelings came rushing back. Now they’re fully back on.”

The reason why they ended their romance is because they are very distant from each other.  Lawrence was living in Los Angeles while Hoult lives in U.K.  Another source also revealed, “[They] always eat lunch together.”

“They were having a lot of fun together.  They were into the fight, they would get up and cheer. They looked really cute together! They seemed flirty at times.”

“Jennifer has been telling people that she’s in love again!”

Jennifer Lawrence attended the 2013 GLAAD Media Awards with her wavy and short hair.  The 22-year-old actress was wearing a short black dress created by David Koma.  Her shoes were created by Nicholas Kirkwood while her bag and jewelry were from Roger Vivier and David Webb.  Jennifer sat with Harvey Weinstein, the studio mogul.  She presented an award during the show.

Drew Barrymore also attended the event which was held at the JW Marriott Los Angeles.  The show was hosted by Barrymore.  The 38-year-old actress started the event by saying, “It is time for equal rights for everybody. At the end of the day there is no such thing as too much love. I pray and hope the Supreme Court does the right thing.”

Elle Fanning looked stunning in her Lanvin gown.  Her shoes were also from Lanvin while her jewels and headband were from Neil Lane and Jennifer Behr.

The GLAAD Media Awards gives tribute to the media for their honest and equal opinions about transgender, bisexual, gay and lesbian.

Congratulations to all the winners!

Ben Affleck is back in the Oscars again after receiving an award for “Good WIll Hunting” 15 years ago.  This time he won the Best Picture award for the movie “Argo” which he directed, co-produced and starred.  The 85th Academy Awards was celebrated last Sunday at the Dolby Theatre.

The best supporting actress was won by Anne Hathaway who played the role of a factory worker in the movie Les Miserables.  The best supporting actor was won by Christoph Waltz who played the role of a bounty hunter in the movie Django Unchained.

The best original song was won by Adele who broke into tears as she thanked Paul Epworth who is her co-writer as well as his Bond producers.

Congratulations to all the winners!

It’s awards season, which means the stars are not eating, stealing stylists from one another, and vying to be named ‘best dressed’ on lists worldwide. However, not every star can come out on top. There are always a few that manage to be roadkill along the way. This is where the fun begins. Because if you’re worth a million (or more) bucks, should it really be that difficult to look like it?

Apparently so. Case in point? Red seemed to be one of the top colors at this year’s Golden Globe awards, but not every celebrity was giving the hue the best entrance on the red carpet. Our first offender?

70th Annual Golden Globe Awards

None other than television ‘It Girl’ of the moment, Zooey Deschanel, who chose red for the color of her gown, but the dress looked as if they were refurbished curtains from her guest chateau. Who wore red better on this night?

None other than emerging silver screen ‘It Girl’ Jennifer Lawrence, who proved that she may star in ‘The Hunger Games’, but she has enough curves to fill out any dress that comes her way. Her fitted dress, cinched at the waist, was the perfect choice for the statuesque beauty, who has already been on many best dressed lists years prior.

Kerry Washington, who has seen her star profile rise of late with her television show ‘Scandal’ and her role as Broomhilda in ‘Django Unchained’, did not wow at this year’s Golden Globes as many expected.

Her dress, although beautiful, did nothing for her. With her straight hair, the dress did nothing to accentuate Kerry’s curves. Actually, it appears as if she has none in this dress. Maybe she’ll pull off an award-winning look for the Oscars? We’ll be watching.
