The lovely actress Lupita Nyong’o seems to be having the best time of her life as she fulfills her dreams. Lupita is very lucky in winning various awards for her fist movie “12 Years A Slave.” Aside from this, she is also featured in a lot of prominent fashion magazines all over the world. However, the tremendous attention that she is getting seems to be difficult for her.
During her interview with the latest issue of New York Magazine, she revealed that she was worried about her recent confrontation with the paparazzi and admits that she is now living in a bubble. She said:
“I don’t know who they were waiting for, but they definitely chased me down, which is a startling, disturbing experience. I did not expect it. I went into flight mode.[...]There are so many highlights that are no longer highlights. I’m living a very swollen life.”
“I’ve been in a bubble. I haven’t been out much. I haven’t gotten used to being recognized.” More than that, “I was blissfully ignorant of the magnitude of the project I was in or what it was going to mean for the world.”
What can you say about Lupita’s success?

There are some people who do not believe that dreams can come true but not for Steve Harvey because his dream of interviewing President Obama has finally came true. Harvey, a popular talk show host, did not discuss more on political controversies but rather he sees to it that his interview with the president is done in a light mode. They discussed about the family’s holiday plans, fatherhood and others. According to Harvey:
“Sitting down with the President is something I’ve always dreamt of doing, and I am honored to have the opportunity.”
“I’m grateful to President Obama for welcoming me and I’m thrilled to share this experience with all my viewers.”
When he was interviewed with NBC News, he revealed:
“I’m just a little boy from Welch, West Virginia that’s talking to the President of the United States. The greatest moment in that interview for me was when he was talking about his grandmother, who he misses. She passed in her eighties and my mom passed in her eighties and I said to the President, ‘I heard a rumor that your grandmother and my mother have met and that they are on the front row watching us right now.’ That was a really cool moment between me and the President and it meant a lot to him too so I felt pretty good about that.”
“I’ve met him before but this interview is a little different, you know. I think I talked to him the way most people don’t talk to the President. I told him I wanted a man-on-man interview. I don’t care about the politics, it’s not important to me. Look, he’s a great guy. There is a section of people that don’t agree with what he does, and then there are those of us that get it so I don’t have to go into that again. I said, let’s talk about family, let’s talk about the wives, let’s talk about Christmas, let’s talk about those girls, we’ve got girls the same age, and how he felt about fatherhood. It was pretty good.”
Isn’t it a great experience?

No one is too old in pursuing their own dreams. This is just what Tamar Braxton is trying to prove to us. During the Soul Train Awards, Braxton became emotional as she received an award. She actually won three awards. Tamar thanked her family and her friends then told the audience:
“I just really wanna leave you guys this note. I never thought in my life, that I would be here. And the only reason is that because I almost gave up on myself and I just wanna let you guys know. No matter want you wanna be, no matter who you wanna be, don’t give up on you. It’s possible. I’m 36-years-old and I’m proud of it…and I don’t give a damn if I was 56, she was NOT finna stop. Point blank and the period.”
Tamar also sang on the show. Congrats to Tamar! Watch out for the SOUL TRAIN AWARDS 2013 which will be shown on BET and Centric this Sunday at 8PM.
