Michael Douglas Thanks His Wife Amid Marital Problems At Emmys

Michael Douglas was chosen for the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie award for his portrayal in Behind the Candelabra.  Even if his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones was not on his side during the Primetime Emmy Awards last Sunday, the actor still mentioned his wife on his speech.  Douglas said:

“I wanna thank my wife Catherine for her support and my kids Dylan and Carys.”

He also hopes that he could visit his son Cameron in prison, “I’m hoping that I’ll be able and they’ll allow me to see him soon.”

During the Berlin Film Festival in Germany, the actor told that the reporters that he and his wife are doing fine.  He said:

“My wife and I are fine. We take a temporary separation, but the press, it gives you stuff to write about.”

Last Sunday, Douglas was seen still wearing his wedding ring.  He said, “Catherine is great. She is doing wonderful, talked to her today (and)] just got a lovely note from her. I’m very hopeful that we’re going to work things out… As I said we’re just taking a break, a couple issues, sometimes you gotta do that.”
